C.J. Walker, a four-star power forward prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, will visit with the LSU Tigers on Monday. This news was first reported by grassroots guru Evan Daniels on the mean streets of Twitter.
A rising talent, not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have C.J. Walker pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most agree he’s one of the 45 best players in the entire class. Furthermore, after a strong showing over the warm months, he is expected to shoot up plenty of top-100 boards during the chillier days upcoming.
Obviously, with the SEC becoming more difficult season after season, Will Wade is attempting to lure as many quality players to campus as humanly possible.
Landing someone like Walker might not catapult the LSU Tigers to the top in an instant, but it would go a long way in helping the program continue with its positive development since the Wade era began.
As for Walker, he’s a relatively versatile 6-foot-8 power forward. He needs to develop a little and put on some weight, but rare are the high school players without need for natural maturing.
