Jalen Wilson, a four-star forward prospect out of the 2019 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Kansas Jayhawks.
He made the announcement on the mean streets of Twitter.
According to most reputable recruiting service outlets, Wilson was the final top-100 talent on the board, highlighting how good of a get this is for Bill Self this late in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
For those who pay attention to the recruiting scene, Wilson might sound like a familiar name. He recently backed off his commitment from the Michigan Wolverines after a late coaching change was made, with head coach John Beilein leaving the program for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As for Jalen Wilson, not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have him pegged as a four-star talent, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 50 (or so) best players in the entire 2019 grouping.
Plenty of good programs were after the young man, but the Kansas Jayhawks won out in the end.
