Jalen Wilson, a four-star forward prospect out of the 2019 college basketball recruiting class, has an official visit lined up with the Kansas Jayhawks. Another, with the North Carolina Tar Heels, is expected but no clear date has been given.
This news was relayed to the masses by 247Sports reporter Evan Daniels. He said the date of the visit with Kansas is set for May 30 and will last until June 1.
For those who pay attention to the recruiting scene, Wilson might sound like a familiar name. He recently backed off his commitment from the Michigan Wolverines after a late coaching change was made, with head coach John Beilein leaving the program for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As for Jalen Wilson, not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have him pegged as a four-star talent, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 50 (or so) best players in the entire 2019 grouping.
Blue-blood programs like the Kansas Jayhawks were initially in the mix to land the young man’s services before he made his original commitment. Obviously, plenty of schools will be interested in him now as well.
Obviously, we now know that the North Carolina Tar Heels are also in the mix.
