The Georgia Bulldogs have landed 2019 five-star guard Anthony Edwards on the recruiting trail. The young man made his announcement early on Monday morning.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard named his final five schools back on Dec. 28, with that list being the Kentucky Wildcats. Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Kansas Jayhawks, and North Carolina Tar Heels.
Prior to his commitment, many speculated Anthony Edwards would be staying “home.”
Originally a member of the 2020 recruiting class, Anthony Edwards recently decided to join the 2019 grouping instead. All reputable recruiting service websites have the young man slotted as a five-star recruit, while most agree he’s no lower than being the second best (many have him No. 1 overall) player in the entire 2019 recruiting class.

For the Atlanta Xpress on the Under Armour circuit, Edwards averaged 21 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 49 percent from the floor and 45 percent from beyond the arc.
This is a monster get for the Georgia Bulldogs, obviously. Tom Crean recently made some noise for how he handled a press conference, which apparently didn’t alter Edwards’ mind.
