Anthony Edwards, a five-star recruit out of the 2019 recruiting class, is taking an official visit with the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend. This is according to CBB Today writer and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
The guard recently narrowed his potential landing spots to just eight schools. Those programs are the Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Kansas Jayhawks, Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, North Carolina Tar Heels and UCLA Bruins.
Originally a member of the 2020 recruiting class, Anthony Edwards recently decided to join the 2019 grouping instead. All reputable recruiting service websites have the young man slotted as a five-star recruit, while most agree he’s no lower than being the second best (many have him No. 1 overall) player in the entire 2019 recruiting class.
For the Atlanta Xpress on the Under Armour circuit, Edwards averaged 21 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 49 percent from the floor and 45 percent from beyond the arc. As you can tell from the numbers he’s putting up, as well as how grassroots gurus think of him, he’s good at basketball. Furthermore, the Georgia Bulldogs would be thrilled to land him.
