Jermontae Hill, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the Florida Gators. This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
A 6-foot-6 wing prospect from Georgia, the Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Missouri Tigers and a whole host of quality programs are vying for his services.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Jermontae Hill pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 120 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class. It’s certainly worth noting that 247Sports’ composite rankings are slightly less kind, pegging him as a three-star.
As for the Florida Gators, it’s not shocking the program would offer a versatile talent a scholarship this far removed from his recruiting cycle hitting in earnest. While many schools are still eyeing 2019 products, for a team in the forever brutal SEC, it’s probably wise to get an early start on diamond in the rough type players.
