LJ Cryer, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Baylor Bears.
After committing to the program, LJ Cryer told Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, “Baylor has also been recruiting me since the 8th grade so I’ve built a strong relationship with the staff and I’m looking forward to being a part of the family.”
A 6-foot-1 point guard from the great state of Texas, numerous programs had been attempting to lure the talented young man to their campus. Schools who were chasing after Cryer included the LSU Tigers, Oklahoma State Cowboys and just about every other Division I basketball program in his home state.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have LJ Cryer pegged as a four-star caliber prospect, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 70 (or so) best players in all of the 2020 recruiting class.
Nevertheless, this is a great get for the Baylor Bears.
