Puff Johnson, a four-star wing prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has scheduled a visit with the North Carolina Tar Heels. For those within the UNC bubble curious, yes, he’s the brother of Cameron Johnson.
News of the visit was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by prolific grassroots guru reporter Evan Daniels, who also mentioned the visit will take place on November 1. Daniels didn’t mention whether the visit was official in capacity or not.
As for Puff Johnson, the 6-foot-7 wing is garnering plenty of interest on the recruiting trail. Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have the young man pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to believe he’s one of the 45 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
Considering his home state, many believe the Arizona Wildcats are the favorites to land his services. However, with Puff Johnson having a direct family connection to the North Carolina Tar Heels, it isn’t entirely insane to believe Roy Williams can pull off the move.
Nevertheless, only time will tell if Puff Johnson commits to the North Carolina Tar Heels or another quality program.
