Jeremy Roach, a five-star point guard prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, has narrowed his potential landing spots to a final four.
In no particular order, those schools are the Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, Kentucky Wildcats and Villanova Wildcats. Basically, he’s down to four blue blood programs who are known to land the best of the best on the recruiting trail.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have Jeremy Roach pegged as a five-star caliber player, but he’s also one of the best in the very class, as well as — at least arguably — one of the top two point guards in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
He actually had an official visit with Duke back in the middle of October. At the time, he admitted how aggressively the Blue Devils were recruiting him, even if there was a hiccup in the action.
“It was originally supposed to be on the 14th of September but the hurricane came so we couldn’t do it then,” Roach said to Evan Daniels. “Since the summer Coach K has always wanted to get me on campus and this is a good time to get on campus.”
“Very aggressive,” he said when asked about Duke’s approach. “Coach K and Coach Scheyer text me a lot.”
