Jamir Watkins, a forward prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has narrowed his list to a final five.
It’s certainly worth noting original reports, coming from the young man’s own (since deleted) tweet, had him narrowing it down to a final four.
However, by way of the easiest Twitter investigation this side of Sherlock Holmes, it appears as though the West Virginia Mountaineers made a late scholarship offer, resulting in the Jamir Watkins adding the program to his finalists.

Anywho, thanks to the now (not yet?) tweet, it’s clear who his final five are. Clearly, the aforementioned West Virginia Mountaineers, and then the St. John’s Red Storm, Seton Hall Pirates, Virginia Tech Hokies and VCU Rams.
Reputable outlets are not really grading the young man in meaningful ways, but that’s only because his stock has truly begun to rise. He averaged 9.1 points and 5.7 rebounds at Peach Jam.
Nevertheless, only time will tell which of the programs eventually land Jamir Watkins.
