Chet Holmgren, a four-star big man prospect out of the 2021 college basketball recruiting class, will visit with the Georgetown Hoyas and Maryland Terrapins. The visits will take place this upcoming weekend.
This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Stockrisers and Rivals reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned the visits will be unofficial in capacity.
Other programs are also after his services. From Minneapolis, the youngster is being pursued by the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Purdue Boilermakers and Texas Longhorns, just to name a few. In fact, the Tennessee Volunteers have already offered him a scholarship.
Not only do most reputable recruiting service outlets have Chet Holmgren pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 45 (or so) best players in the entire 2021 recruiting class.
Some outlets do have him pegged as a five-star.
Nevertheless, the Georgetown Hoyas and Maryland Terrapins are hoping to fall on his good side. There’s time for all these programs to woo the youngster, though.
