Daniel Ramsey, a four-star forward prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, has committed to play for the Xavier Musketeers. He made the announcement on Twitter.
From his tweet announcing his decision:
“I also would like to thank any coaches and trainers that I’ve had throughout this long journey!”
“Last but not least I want to thank my family for helping me every step of the way and believing in me through it all!”
“With that being said I will be committing to Xavier University”
He is choosing Xavier over Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, Rice and Vanderbilt.
A 6-foot-8 talent, Daniel Ramsey joins Elias King as future Musketeers.
Questions circling around Ramsey in years prior to this one centered around his athleticism. However, it appears both reputable recruiting service websites and big boy programs feel he’s a more than competent athlete. Over the last eight months or so, he’s shot up plenty of top 100 boards (while never fully cracking most).
This is a relatively huge deal for the Xavier Musketeers. With Chris Mack leaving the program for the Louisville Cardinals, it was imperative Travis Steele continued to do well from the jump to push aside any idea the university would be going through some rough patches.
