Malik Hall, a four-star forward out of the 2019 recruiting class, has committed to play for the Michigan State Spartans. He made the announcement on the mean streets of Twitter.
Back in August, he narrowed his potential landing spots to just five schools. At the time, those programs were the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns, Michigan State Spartans, Purdue Boilermakers and Oregon Ducks. Other schools who were in the mix before that were Illinois, Louisville, Iowa, TCU, Villanova, California, Notre Dame and a host of others.

Not only pegged as a four-star prospect, but most reputable recruiting service websites have him ranked as one of the 50 (or so) best players in the entire class. Obviously, in turn, he’s been a highly sought after player.
Nevertheless, this is a huge get for Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans. Malik Hall is a big time prospect who just made a big boy commitment to one of the nation’s best basketball programs.
Expect him to make an immediate impact the moment he hits campus, as his abilities are just too outstanding to be on the bench.
