Brandon Newman, a four-star shooting guard prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, has revealed his final four potential landing spots. He did so on Twitter.
In no particular order, his final four are the Ohio State Buckeyes, Purdue Boilermakers, Indiana Hoosiers and Xavier Musketeers. From the great state of Indiana, it isn’t exactly shocking most of his choices are in the Big Ten with Xavier being relatively nearby.
Earlier in the week, he announced on Twitter he was enrolling again at Valpo High School due to his mother’s health. Obviously, sports to the wayside, we wish him and his family nothing but the best with that situation. It does help explain his final four, though.
A 6-foot-4 guard, he projects to play the shooting guard position primarily, but it is worth noting many grassroots scouts do believe he has solid handles. Moreover, depending which program he ultimately decides to commit to, there’s a chance he ends up being a bit position-less at the collegiate level.
Given that he literally just announced his final four, Ohio State, Purdue, Indiana and Xavier still have time to try to wow Brandon Newman.
