Qudus Wahab, a four-star big man prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, will be taking an official visit with the Pittsburgh Panthers starting on Friday. This isn’t terribly stunning news, as Pitt has been aggressively recruiting the young man all offseason.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten. It was a known visit prior to this writing, for the sake of clarity. We covered it first coming to the surface over a month ago.
He has an official visit, his last it is worth noting, lined up with the Syracuse Orange on November 9.
The 6-foot-10 talent announced back in September he was down to a final five potential landing spots. Those programs still in the mix are the Pittsburgh Panthers, Virginia Tech Hokies, Connecticut Huskies, Syracuse Orange and Georgetown Hoyas.
He visited with UConn on October 12 and Virginia Tech on October 19.
While some reputable recruiting services websites have Qudus Wahab pegged as a four-star caliber recruit, others have him as a rising/high-level three-star. Regardless, nearly all agree he’s one of the 100 (or so) best players in the entire 2019 recruiting cycle.
