Qudus Wahab, a four-star big man prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, will be taking an official visit with the Syracuse Orange on November 9. This news was first relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
The 6-foot-10 talent announced back in September he was down to a final five potential landing spots. Those programs still in the mix are the Pittsburgh Panthers, Virginia Tech Hokies, Connecticut Huskies, Syracuse Orange and Georgetown Hoyas.
Wahab had already scheduled official visits with three of those five programs. He visited with UConn on October 12, Virginia Tech on October 19 and will with Pittsburgh on November 2.
While some reputable recruiting services websites have Qudus Wahab pegged as a four-star caliber recruit, others have him as a rising/high-level three-star. Regardless, nearly all agree he’s one of the 100 (or so) best players in the entire 2019 recruiting cycle.
A plot worth following in his recruitment process is how the Pittsburgh Panthers have been aggressively recruiting the youngster. Obviously, only time will tell where the big man ultimately ends up playing.
