Jalen Hill, a four-star small forward prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, will visit the St. John’s Red Storm on October 12.
John Rothstein reported the news on Twitter. He also mentioned that Hill is also considering the Oklahoma Sooners, TCU Horned Frogs, Florida State Seminoles, UNLV Rebels and DePaul Blue Demons.
Recently, CBB Today took a look at the Red Storm’s weak non-conference schedule and how that might impact the team’s chances at making the NCAA Tournament this season. It is unfortunate that some of it is so, as St. John’s certainly as a roster talented enough to make the Big Dance.
As for Jalen Hill, while most reputable recruiting service websites have him pegged as a four-star caliber prospect, there’s a big of a divide where he lands on top-100 boards. Some of him in and others out. However, those who have him outside the top-100 only have him slightly missing the cut.
The St. John’s Red Storm are certainly hoping to land Hill, as the Chris Mullin era is looking for stability and regular visits to meaningful Marches.
We will keep you posted on Hill as he continues his recruiting process.
