Kennedy Chandler, a five-star prospect out of the 2021 college basketball recruiting class, will be seen by the Kentucky Wildcatss, Ole Miss Rebels and Mississippi State Bulldogs. This will all go down on Thursday.
This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of social media by Stockrisers and Rivals grassroots guru Jake Weingarten, who recently mentioned the Louisville Cardinals staff witnessed the youngster play at Peach Jam over the summer.
Weingarten also mentioned that the Kentucky Wildcats will at least send an assistant to see him; though John Calipari might go along as well.
Recruiting service outlets either Kennedy Chandler as a four or five-star recruit. Furthermore, those outlets tend to agree he’s one of the 25 (or so) best players in the entire 2021 recruiting class.
The above is worth noting, as many had previously claimed him to be a five-star without mentioning the discrepancy. Moreover, as time has gone by, 247Sports is maybe the highest on him, cementing him a a five-star and as one of the 17 best players in his class.
As noted previously when there’s been slight disagreement with a player’s star ratings, CBBToday prefers to take the lower grading (if there’s not a majority agreement) to avoid the idea of sensationalizing for clicks. If we sensationalize, it’s for hugs and high-fives.
At this point in time, however, we feel safe in calling Chandler a five-star.
Nevertheless, only time will tell if the Kentucky Wildcats, Ole Miss Rebels or Mississippi State Bulldogs can do enough to lure Kennedy Chandler to the program.
