Josh Hall, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, will be checked in on by Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats.
This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who previously mentioned how he expected new coach Nate Oats to be active on the youngster’s recruitment trail despite getting to it a bit late.
So, as time has gone on, Weingarten has been proven correct.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Josh Hall pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 40 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 class. As you can tell in Weingarten’s tweet, he calls Josh Hall a five-star.
As noted previously when there’s been slight disagreement with a player’s star ratings, CBBToday prefers to take the lower grading (if there’s not a majority agreement) to avoid the idea of sensationalizing for clicks. If we sensationalize, it’s for hugs and high-fives.
The Alabama Crimson Tide and Nate Oats have been insanely active on the recruiting trail. Only time will tell if they can land any of the many high-caliber recruits they’ve been targeting.
