Nate Oats has absolutely gone to town on the recruiting trail since being named the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. The most recent moves by the new man in charge of Alabama is meeting with 2020 five-star Daishen Nix on Easter Sunday and offering 2020 four-star Cameron Matthews a scholarship less than 24 hours before that.
Andrew Slater was first to report the Nix news.
Mind you, this is all coming right after extending scholarships to 2020 five-star prospects Cam’Ron Fletcher and Nimari Burnett.
Oats is looking to land, apparently, every good player in the 2020 class.
As for the two most recent recruiting activities, not do most reputable recruiting service outlets have Daishen Nix pegged as a five-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 30 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
Cameron Matthews isn’t a resounding four-star, as some outlets do have him slotted as a three-star graded player.
Nevertheless, the Alabama Crimson Tide aren’t wasting any time getting the Nate Oats era started. If nothing else, this should be fun.
