Aminu Mohammed, a five-star prospect out of the 2021 recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the Seton Hall Pirates. This news was relayed on Twitter by CBB Today writer and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
As Weingarten mentioned in his report, the scholarship offer came after the young man had a great night on the hardwood, having scored 44 points and grabbed 26 (not a typo) rebounds. He’s only 6-foot-4, so those rebounding numbers are obviously absurd.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have Aminu Mohammed slotted as a five-star caliber recruit, but most tend to agree he’s roughly one of the 10 (or so) best players in the entire 2021 recruiting class. Basically, he projects to be a very good college basketball player.
If they were to land him, this would be a tremendous get for the Seton Hall Pirates. Mohammed projects as a do it all guard, who can create his own offense as well as some for others.
We will keep you posted as his recruitment cycle continues to develop over the next few months (and probably years).
