It’s unlikely many picked the Auburn Tigers to make it to the Final Four portion of the NCAA Tournament. Alas, as the old saying goes, teams like Auburn upsetting others like Kentucky is why they play the games.
Likely the biggest underdog heading into the weekend, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl isn’t looking to approach the last college basketball Saturday much differently than any other.
“My approach is going to try to be to just do what we do, keep it the same,” Bruce Pearl said. “I just think the routine that we try to keep, the pace we try to keep from when we practice, the media, the hotels — you know, you’re busy, and the kids are busy. You just kind of grind like you do all season long.”
Minus their big man, the Auburn Tigers don’t have an easy take ahead of them.
Then again, that could have been said during each stop in the Big Dance the program had. Nevertheless, only time will tell how the Tigers do during the Final Four.
