Anthony Leal, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, has been extended a scholarship offer by the Butler Bulldogs. This news was reported on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned how the youngster was just in to see the Georgetown Hoyas.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have the young man pegged as a four-star recruit, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 75 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
A 6-foot-5 guard, Anthony Leal is also being eyed by the Indiana Hoosiers, Stanford Cardinals, Xavier Musketeers, and a whole bunch of other quality programs.
As for the Butler Bulldogs, having lost their last two games, the team is currently 9-5 on the season. It’s early, and even with the losses, things are still looking bright for the program’s longer term future.
A tough road awaits Butler, however, as the Bulldogs are set to face Creighton, Seton Hall and Xavier before getting a lighter test in DePaul.
