Pierre Brooks, a four-star shooting guard in the 2021 recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the Bulter Bulldogs.
This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who mentioned the kid is “bound to blow up.”
Brooks is an interesting prospect for a variety of reasons. While Weingarten calls him a four-star, not all reputable recruiting service outlets peg him as such. He is, at the very least, considered one of the better players in his recruiting class.
For the sake of full clarity, 247Sports does have Pierre Brooks pegged as a four-star caliber player, but does slot him just outside their top-100 board.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard will likely continue to draw plenty of attention nationally, as he’s already had unofficial visits with the Louisville Cardinals, Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans once before this visit. In fact, he’s visited both Louisville and now Michigan State twice.
Pierre Brooks should continue to shoot up a lot of recruiting services’ top 100 boards and — for those that do not yet have four-stars attached to his name — earn an extra star before he ultimately commits. Obviously, regardless of the subjective stuff, the Butler Bulldogs are hoping to bring the young man to their campus.
