Walker Kessler, a five-star center out of the 2020 class recruiting class, had an in-home visit with the California Golden Bears on Thursday. This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned it was new Cal coach Mark Fox as the man doing the visiting.
The 6-10, 225-pound stretch big man made an official visit to Virginia In January, and also took official visit to Duke around the same time. Obviously, quality programs are after his services, as he projects to be a player of immediate impact.
In fact, the Blue Devils have already offered the young man a scholarship.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Walker Kessler pegged as a five-star caliber prospect, but most agree he’s one of the 15 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
The California Golden Bears are hoping Fox can help rebuild the program after firing Wyking Jones following two less than stellar seasons. Landing a player like Walker Kessler would certainly help.
