The Colorado Buffaloes have been a bit all over the place during the 2018-19 college basketball season, but on Thursday night against the Washington State Cougars, the Pac-12 program was sensational.
After scoring 92 points to earn the win, Tyler Bey, who scored a career-best 26, discussed the recent happenings for Colorado.
“I think that we just played for each other today, we found our groove,” Bey said via The AP. “The groove that we had at the beginning of the season when we were winning games. Then we had that slump but we are working through it. On Saturday (against Washington) we are going to have an even better game. I guarantee it.”
Bey also chipped in with 10 rebounds. It is arguably the best game of his collegiate career.
With the victory, the Colorado Buffaloes improved to 10-5 on the season. As importantly, three games into league play, Colorado’s conference record is sitting at 1-2. Since the league is in a bit of a weird place right now, as usual power teams are flailing, there’s a chance the Buffaloes can go on a run.
As it forever is with college basketball, only time will tell. Nevertheless, things are currently looking up.
