Cam Hayes, a very talented five-star prospect out of the 2021 recruiting class, has taken an unofficial visit with the Duke Blue Devils. This news was reported on the mean streets of Twitter by CBB Today writer and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
According to Weingarten, Duke hosting Hayes in the unofficial capacity happened on Saturday. He recently took a different unofficial visit with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons back in the middle of October.
While it’s insanely early in the recruitment process for the 6-foot-1 guard, programs such as the Tennessee Volunteers, Clemson Tigers, Providence Friars and over 20 other quality schools have shown interest in the young man.
It’s relatively important to note that, while Cam Hayes is listed as a five-star prospect according to most reputable recruiting service websites, most do not yet track players in a class that far out in terms of top 100 boards. That being said, if a player is deemed worthy of having five-stars attached to his name even this early, it’s understood the player is one of the 20 (or so) best players in their class.
Nevertheless, of course the Duke Blue Devils are in the mix.
