Walker Kessler, a five-star center out of the 2020 college basketball class recruiting class, was checked in on by the Duke Blue Devils on Monday. On Thursday, the youngster will be seen by the North Carolina Tar Heels. Roy Williams will go do the visiting himself.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten. The Duke Blue Devils, along with the Michigan Wolverines, already had official visits scheduled.
The 6-10, 225-pound stretch big man made an official visit to Virginia In January, and also took his first official visit with Duke around the same time. He’s also been to visit with the California Golden Bears. Obviously, quality programs are after his services, as he projects to be a player of immediate impact.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Walker Kessler pegged as a five-star caliber prospect, but most agree he’s one of the 15 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
Considering this is yet another visit for the Duke Blue Devils, Coach K is clearly prioritizing the big man. Of course, Roy Williams is doing the same, hoping the North Carolina Tar Heels can land him.
