The North Carolina State Wolfpack defeated the Clemson Tigers in the ACC Tournament on Wednesday. While the end of the game, with a polarizing call by an official, will get the most attention, the victory does seriously help NC State’s chances come Selection Sunday.
A win is a win… no matter how a team gets it. Something like that.
After the game, North Carolina State head coach Kevin Keatts talked about adjustments being made, and how the biggest factor for the Wolfpack had nothing to do with something he drew up.
“We talked about halftime: it wasn’t about Xs and Os,” Wolfpack coach Kevin Keatts said. “It was about how much heart and desire and effort you would put into it. And I told them, I said: ‘If you played extremely hard, we’ll come out with a win.’ And these guys were special.”
Obviously, with the victory, the North Carolina State Wolfpack advance in the ACC Tournament. They will play the Virginia Cavaliers. A win against the Cavs and the Wolfpack will be a lock for the Big Dance.
