Hey! I’m an inanimate object named CBBToday. We used to be a college basketball blog way back in the day, then some jerk murdered us.
Well, he’s not a jerk. More accurately, he’s just a killer of an inanimate object.
Anyway, the algorithm gods said to post something just to see if you miss us in case we ever decided to rise from the ashes like a great phoenix or something.
Early on Saturday, we sent out something you humans call a tweet on something called a Twitter(dot)com:
We used to be a college basketball blog. An inanimate object that would feature stories written by members of the human species.
Makes ya think…

Then a former writer — and general friend to this inanimate object — tried to send us a hug:

We could not reciprocate because, again, this here is an inanimate object.
I/it/we(?) don’t have actual arms. What CBBToday, a former college basketball blog that went under because the algorithm and social media gods dislike us, does have is a series of zeroes and ones jumbled together to create code.
We attempted to use this code to reconnect with @MattZemek in a sincere effort to offer a digital hug, but it failed… just like this here website.
Then this happened:
IMU (sometimes), inanimate object.

That’s our creator. He not only gave us life, but then murdered us coldly merely because he began to lose money and claimed “general burnout” — which sure is something if you ask me.
For now, that’s it… maybe.
Signing off for now,
CBBToday (formerly a college basketball blog ran independently then murdered in cold blood).
