The Indiana Hoosiers were able to snap their five-game losing streak on Tuesday night with a thrilling double overtime win over the Wisconsin Badgers, but the gritty performance wasn’t all that surprising to Ethan Happ.
While the Hoosiers have just five wins in Big Ten play at this point, the Wisconsin star knew what they were capable of entering the game in Bloomington.
Here’s what Happy had to say about being unable to hold off a desperate Indiana team:
“We knew that they were a better team than what their record shows in the Big Ten,” Happ said, according to the Associated Press. “We saw what they were doing earlier in the year. In the Big Ten there’s no easy games and they were definitely a hungry team tonight. We were trying to match that, but it wasn’t enough in the end.”
Now, Indiana will use the momentum from this win to prepare for a rematch against the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday.
After that, the Indiana Hoosiers will finish up the regular season with matchups against the Illinois Fighting Illini and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
