Romeo Langford, one of the most hyped players in the country and the type the Indiana Hoosiers hope help return the program to greatness, isn’t tempering expectations.
In what could likely be considered the most anticipated media day in recent Indiana history, Langford cut right through the bologna, and got to the heart of the matter at hand.
“I don’t go into any season just trying to win a couple games. I go in trying to win the whole entire championship,” Romeo Langford said by way of the AP. “Really my expectation for myself is to be the best I can be, and I feel like me doing that is going to help the team be successful down the road.”
Langford, a former five-star recruit, will provide Indiana with two things it desperately needs. He will get buckets in bunches in a variety of ways. He’ll also provide a face to the program from a non-coaching perspective for the first time in years.
The Indiana Hoosiers have mixed projections for this upcoming season. Some in the media believe Archie Miller has enough to be ranked in preseason Top 25 polls. Others have the Hoosiers right outside having that sort of distinction.
If nothing else, though, thanks in large part to Langford, Indiana is a must-watch team this season.
