Isaiah Wong, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, has committed to play for the Miami Hurricanes.
This is obviously a big get for Miami, as the Hurricanes attempt to keep pace in the forever brutal Atlantic Coast Conference.
For what it is worth, while schools like UConn and a whole host of others were considered to be in the mix, Miami always appeared to be the favorites to land his services, even before taking an official visit with the school a few weeks back.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have Isaiah Wong pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most agree he’s one of the 75 (or so) best players in the entire 2019 recruiting class.
A combo-guard, Wong will likely be asked to handle both guard positions when he hits campus next season. That being said, it will be interesting to see how long it takes for him to be a regular member of the rotation, as the Miami Hurricanes could have guys ahead of him to start next season.
Then again, a lot can change in 12 months.
