Matthew Hurt, a five-star power forward prospect out of the 2019 recruiting class, will have an in-home visit with Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari on Sunday. This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned that Hurt is a major target for Big Blue Nation.
This isn’t terribly shocking that Calipari would be pushing hard for his services. Kentucky had a visit with the youngster back in September, and have been targeting him throughout his entire recruitment.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have Matthew Hurt pegged as a five-star talent in the 2019 recruiting class, but nearly all agree he’s one of the 10 best players in the nation (in his class).
Hurt is projected to be a player who will make an immediate impact for whatever program he commits to.
Time is running out, relatively speaking. With the summer looming, whether it be John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats or not, Matthew Hurt will soon have to make a decision. He has a lot of options, with nearly every blue-blood in the program wanting him to play for their program.
