The Louisville Cardinals had a busy weekend hosting college basketball recruits, as 2020 four-star Josh Hall and five-star Devin Askew spent time with the program. The two’s visit with Chris Mack and company was official in capacity.
News of both kids taking visits with Louisville came by way of Rivals and Stockrisers grassroots guru Jake Weingarten.
It’s worth noting Weingarten’s tweet calls Josh Hall a five-star, but most reputable recruiting service outlets do not view him as such. As CBBToday often notes, we prefer to go with the wider, least sensationalized ranking of a player as possible to avoid the idea of upping a player’s ranking in order to obtain increased traffic to this here fine website.
Nevertheless, not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Josh Hall pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 40 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 class.
As for the talented Devin Askew, not only do most reputable recruiting service outlets have him pegged as a five-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 15 (or so) best players in the entire 2021 recruiting class. He is most certainly going to end up being heavily recruited.
The Louisville Cardinals are bringing in one of the best group of freshmen in the country ahead of the 2019-20 college basketball season.
