The LSU Tigers have landed rising forward prospect Aundre Hyatt. Originally a member of the 2019 recruiting class, he will also reclassify for the class of 2018. With school about to get underway, he’s expected to enroll at LSU later this month.
Most reputable recruiting service websites have Hyatt ranked as either a three or four-star prospect, but that severely undercuts how highly many view him as a player, as he’s been rising up many’s projections over the last few months.
Seton Hall and Rutgers were also in the mix for the forward, but obviously lost out.
Aundre Hyatt is most known as being a dynamic shooter. Hitting campus sooner as expected, he now projects as a key role player for the Tigers next season.
As for the LSU Tigers, this gives the program even more star power to its already electric 2018 recruiting class. Will Wade has done a tremendous job on the recruiting trail, now bringing in five high school players who are considered as being within the nation’s top 150.
LSU will be returning already established quality players such as Tremont Waters and Skylar Mays this season. That duo will now be coupled incoming super freshmen Nazreon Reid and Javonte Smart. Not to mention other quality commits such as Emmitt Williams and Darius Days.
At the very least, Hyatt should give the Tigers a quality, shooting focused wing. LSU fans should be thrilled.
