John Camden, a four-star wing prospect out of the 2021 college basketball recruiting class, will be seen by the Maryland Terrapins and Indiana Hoosiers. Both programs are actually sending out assistants to take a gander at the young man on Wednesday.
This news was relayed to the human population on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also previously mentioned that Penn State has already offered John Camden a scholarship and that John Camden has been a priority target for a decent amount of time.
As we often note when it comes to recruits more than a season away from hitting campus, it’s a bit unfair to fully discuss what kind of product a player will be years down the road.
For John Camden, however, we do know a few things. Grassroots gurus do believe he’s going to be one of the better prospects in 2021, and he’s already 6-foot-7. Furthermore, the Maryland Terrapins, Indiana Hoosiers and Penn State Nittany Lions are not the only programs already interested in his services, as the Xavier Musketeers are after the Norristown product.
There’s even more known about John Camden — or, at least the idea of him. Considered an already versatile player, he’s projected to be a two-way talent when he hits college in three years.
As it currently stands, most reputable recruiting service outlets have the young man pegged as a four-star caliber player. Furthermore, slotted as one of the 70 (or so) best players in the entire 2021 recruiting cycle.
Nevertheless, we are a few years away from anything truly happening in his recruitment process. Still, it’s a good idea for the Indiana Hoosiers and Maryland Terrapins to keep pushing to land him.
