Karim Mane, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has taken an official visit with the Maryland Terrapins.
This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who mentioned the visit took place over the weekend and was the guard’s first visit in official capacity.
The Terps have already offered a scholarship to the young man, as have over a dozen other programs, including the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Mane’s recruitment rating is a bit all over the place, as some outlets have yet to fully grade him out.
That being said, those that do rank him not only have Karim Mane pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 50 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruitment cycle. Now that it appears he’s far more likely to go the collegiate route, expect outlets to begin covering him with a bit more zest.
Nevertheless, the Maryland Terrapins are obviously eyeing the young man with strong intent.
