Jalen Green, a five-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, will be getting a visit with Memphis Tigers assistant Mike Miller. Apparently, the assistant coach is flying out to see the young man.
Information about this recruitment happening was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Stockrisers and Rivals grassroots guru Jake Weingarten. The young reported also mentioned how the kid is a major target for Memphis Tigers head coach Penny Hardaway.
It’s worth noting Jalen Green has been recruiting heavily by other programs, but more on that in a second.
As for Jalen Green, he’s as talented as basically any 2020 recruiting prospect. Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have the young man pegged as a five-star caliber prospect, but most tend to agree he’s one of the (3 or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
The Kentucky Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils have also been heavily involved in the recruitment process of Jalen Green, which isn’t shocking.
Nevertheless, only time will tell where Jalen Green inevitably commits. For the Memphis Tigers, they’re hoping this airplane visit ends up being worth its weight in sky miles.
