N’Faly Dante, a five-star big man prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the Michigan State Spartans. This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned that the 6-foot-11 talent might have the option to reclassify to the 2019 class.
To be clear: That appears to be more conjecture, at least right now, than reporting from Weingarten.
Every reputable recruiting service outlet does consider N’Faly Dante a five-star prospect. Not only that, though, as most tend to agree he’s one of the 16 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class. Some believe him to be the very best center in high school.
Basically, he’s a good prospect who most expect to contribute the moment he hits collegiate hardwoods.
From Kansas, the young man is obviously drawing interest from the Jayhawks, as well as programs like the Kentucky Wildcats.
Only time will tell if the Michigan State Spartans are able to land the young man. That being said, given the amount of teams after him, it does seem like giving him the option to reclassify might aid a few schools in trying to scoop him up.
Again, just conjecture.
