Donovan Johnson, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, is being eyed by the Michigan Wolverines. This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned that it is college basketball coaching savant John Beilein as the man who is doing the direct eyeballing.
A 6-foot-7 wing from Pennsylvania, alongside the Xavier Musketeers, this is one of the biggest schools to have targeted the young man. Other programs interested in his services are Akron, Davidson, George Washington and a bunch of other quality schools
Most reputable recruiting service outlets do have Donovan Johnson pegged as a four-star caliber player. That being said, some do have him sitting right outside their top-100 boards. Given he’s a full recruiting year away from being evaluated with great depth, that could certainly change.
Per Michigan Wolverines unwritten rules, if they are recruiting Johnson, he must project to be at least a decent defender and one who can develop nicely over time.
