James Wiseman, a five-star recruit and the number one overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, has added to more visit dates to his schedule.
To go along with other visits he already had lined up, according to Evan Daniels, James Wiseman will now visit the Florida State Seminoles. Leonard Hamilton’s program joins a few others who have been fortunate enough to snag visits, including Kansas, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
A 6-foot-11 prospect, all reputable recruiting service websites have him pegged as a five-star recruit. Not all, however, have him slotted as the nation’s very best 2019 prospect. There are some who believe he is either the second or third — all of which is splitting hairs.
The Florida State Seminoles and Vanderbilt Commodores might seem like the strange duo of this blue-blood grouping, but the former has a long tradition of landing quality players under Hamilton, while the latter is bringing in its best recruiting class in decades for this season.
Nevertheless, whoever lands Wiseman’s services is going to get a dynamic big who is a capable player on both ends of the floor. There’s good reason why scouts think so highly of him.
