James Wiseman, a five-star recruit and the number one overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, has added to more visit dates to his schedule.
It was previously reported he would visit with the Florida State Seminoles, Kansas Jayhawks, Vanderbilt Commodores and Kentucky Wildcats. Also in the mix are the St. John’s Red Storm and Memphis Tigers.
However, according to grassroots reporting Godfather Evan Daniels, the big man has scheduled three in-home visits with Kentucky, Kansas and Memphis.
James Wiseman, who most project to be an instant impact player, averaged 15.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks a game in the Nike EYBL circuit for the Bluff City Legends.
A 6-foot-11 prospect, all reputable recruiting service websites have him pegged as a five-star recruit. Not all, however, have him slotted as the nation’s very best 2019 prospect. There are some who believe he is either the second or third — all of which is splitting hairs.
With more schools being added to his schedule, it will be interesting to follow what happens in his recruiting process next. Unless he schedules even more stops, it appears as though he will be done visiting campuses in late October.
Obviously a program might convince him to commit before then.
