It wasn’t that long ago Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Tim Miles was a college basketball darling. The type of guy middling bloggers would point to as a good candidate for whatever huge job posting was available.
That no longer applies to Miles, as there’s been whispers circling around his job security this season, especially while the Cornhuskers have struggled to find their footing.
All of this is not on Nebraska players, including Glynn Watson Jr., who has spent the last four years playing for Miles.
“For sure (when asked if the Nebraska Cornhuskers were playing for Tim Miles),” Watson said.
He added, “We’re playing for Nebraska, playing for the coach and our team, each other. I know (fans and media) talk about it. There’s nothing I can do. Nothing nobody else can do. We have to keep fighting. We have to fight for each other. Go to the Big Ten Tournament and try to make a run.”
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are 16-15 on the season.
Next up for Tim Miles and company is the Big Ten Conference Tournament.
