Earl Timberlake, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also called the youngster a five-star talent; though that seems like slight projection given his ratings across reputable recruiting service outlets.
A 6-foot-6 wing, Timberlake has drawn plenty of interest across the country, landing offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide and being watched by programs such as the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Earl Timberlake pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 40 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class. Circling back to Weingarten calling him a five-star, while few outlets currently slot him as such, he does project in a way to inevitably end up being so highly touted by the time 2020 hits.
Obviously, a bit of conjecture regarding that.
Nevertheless, the North Carolina State Wolfpack are officially in the hunt.
