Ever since losing Bol Bol early in the season, nothing really worked out all that well for the Oregon Ducks. It’s not exactly shocking, as few teams could afford to lose a player who is expected to be an NBA Draft lottery pick, then still do as well as projected.
On Wednesday evening, though, things looked up for Oregon. The Ducks managed to defeat Washington State in the Pac-12 Conference Tournament. According to head coach Dana Altman, this current version of Oregon is different than the one from just a few weeks ago.
“Our guys have made a big leap,” Oregon coach Dana Altman said. “We’re so much more connected. Our communication is so much better. It’s a big, big difference where we were just three or four weeks ago.”
It is certainly worth noting that Altman might be on to something. Oregon finished the regular season with four consecutive victories.
Up next for the Oregon Ducks is Utah. Time will tell if this run continues.
