Josh Hall, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, will be checked in on by the Pittsburgh Panthers and DePaul Blue Demons. All of this will go down on Monday. While DePaul is sending various staff members, Pitt head coach Jeff Capel will go do the checking upon the young man himself.
This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who previously mentioned how he expected new Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats to be active on the youngster’s recruitment trail despite getting to it a bit late.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Josh Hall pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 40 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 class. As you can tell in Weingarten’s tweet, he calls Josh Hall a five-star.
As noted previously when there’s been slight disagreement with a player’s star ratings, CBBToday prefers to take the lower grading (if there’s not a majority agreement) to avoid the idea of sensationalizing for clicks. If we sensationalize, it’s for hugs and high-fives.
Only time will tell if the Pittsburgh Panthers, DePaul Blue Demons, Alabama Crimson Tide, or a program not named in this post can land Josh Hall.
