Niels Lane, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the Pittsburgh Panthers.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Rivals and Stockriskers reporter Jake Weingarten.
The Georgia Bulldogs, among many others, have all shown interest in the youngster. Up until recently, Lane was mostly thought of as a three-star player.
However, as he’s gotten more play in front of more eyes, Niels Lane has become a four-star in some reputable recruiting service outlets, including 247Sports, who gave him four stars in their composite rankings. Still, it’s worth noting he’s mostly pegged way outside of top-100 boards.
Again, to be fair to him, this can change since there’s a full year before he even hits a collegiate campus.
Nevertheless, no matter how he’s viewed in terms relatively to recruiting service outlets, teams are clearly high on Niels Lane. This includes the Pittsburgh Panthers, obviously.
