With a nation questioning his handling of a freshman’s minutes, college basketball coach Roy Williams is preaching to his North Carolina Tar Heels players the importance of consistency. More accurately, how UNC is best served giving effort at both ends of the floor at all times.
Sounds like a sane, even somewhat unneeded request to make, but it’s a sentiment he echoed following North Carolina’s victory over Davidson on Saturday.
“We’ve seen what it looks like when we gave effort on both ends, and seen what it looks like when we don’t, and the result is totally different,” Roy Williams said, by way of The AP. “We know we can do it, and I think that’s what we learned. It’s just a matter of us doing it consistently now.”
Nassir Little, the freshman at the foundation of people’s outrage, scored 10 points. CBB Today recently attempted to explain Williams’ handling of the young man’s minutes.
Nevertheless, the North Carolina Tar Heels earned yet another victory on Sunday, improving their overall record to 9-3 on the college basketball season.
