Niels Lane, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the St. John’s Red Storm.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Rivals and Stockriskers reporter Jake Weingarten.
Lane has picked up a lot of steam the last few months, having once been considered ‘only’ a three-star level prospect.
However, as he’s gotten more play in front of more eyes, Niels Lane has become a four-star in some reputable recruiting service outlets, including 247Sports, who gave him four stars in their composite rankings. Still, it’s worth noting he’s mostly pegged way outside of top-100 boards.
Again, to be fair to him, this can change since there’s a full year before he even hits a collegiate campus.
It’ll be interesting, as the St. John’s Red Storm joins a bunch of other programs that have offered, to see what happens over the next few months with the young man.
